Color-on-Demand Label Printing

Full-color labels printed on demand on Epson ColorWorks presses — GHS, product, and branded labels with no plates, no color minimums, and fast turnaround.

Overview

Our Epson ColorWorks color presses print vivid, durable, full-color labels on demand — including GHS chemical labels with the required red diamond pictograms. Because it is digital, there are no plate fees, no color charges, and you can run short, frequent batches or serialized color labels economically.

When it's the right fit

You need full-color branding, warnings, or GHS pictograms

You want short runs and frequent SKU changes without plate costs

You print color labels in-house today and want to offload the volume

You need color that survives moisture, oil, or outdoor exposure

Where color-on-demand wins

Digital color removes the setup cost and lead time of flexographic printing, so you only print what you need, when you need it.

  • GHS / hazard labels with color-fast red diamond pictograms
  • Full-color product, private-label, and promotional labels
  • Short runs and versioned batches with no plate or color fees
  • Variable color data and per-unit personalization
  • Durable pigment output on paper, BOPP, polyester, and vinyl

GHS & regulated color labels

GHS hazard communication requires specific pictograms, signal words, and color that stays legible in harsh environments. We print BS5609-capable constructions on vinyl and polyester for drums and chemical containers.

  • Red-diamond pictograms, signal words, and hazard statements
  • Durable vinyl and polyester for drums, totes, and IBCs
  • Multi-language and small-container layouts

How it works

1

Artwork & color

We prepare print-ready color artwork and confirm pictograms, bleeds, and brand color.

2

Substrate select

We choose a color-optimized facestock and topcoat for your environment.

3

Proof

You approve a color proof and physical sample.

4

Print on demand

We print the batch — short or large — and can hold artwork for fast reorders.

No plates, no color minimums

Flexo printing charges per plate and per color, which punishes short runs and frequent changes. Digital color-on-demand has neither — a run of 200 versioned labels costs the same per label to set up as 20,000.
